1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

My writing and illustration is informed by my observations of the world around me.  I create a semi abstract world where figurative elements combine harmoniously with pattern.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I either go for a long meandering walk or I sit down and look through my art book collection with my favourite music on then start drawing or writing.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Claudia Doms, the graphic designer who designed my book. Her bold aesthetic and sensitive understanding of my work made “Ways to Walk in London” the beautiful object that it is. It is certainly the most rewarding collaboration I have ever experienced.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Walking and absorbing my surroundings always get’s ideas forming in my head and enables me to think clearly. I find looking at Pinterest a great way to gain inspiration as I find such a wealth of imagery at my fingertips.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I think what has driven me this far is the love of what I do. Drawing, writing and creating are my absolute favourite past times, nothing makes me happier so this always motivates me to create new work and promote myself so I can keep creating for a living.
