1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I’ve always been drawn to bright colors and ornately detailed patterns. I particularly admire folk influences from around the globe, as well as the bright psychedelics of the 1970s.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I first consider the medium needed, which might be anything from photographing a floral arrangement to drawing in pencil or marbling with inks. It’s almost like I’m solving a problem.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

My husband, Paul. He is truly my business partner and creative match. His enthusiasm and support has been tremendous, and when you consider the countless hours of web design, branding advice, tech support and general all-around business prowess he has invested into my business, I can confidently say I would not be where I am today without him. He has encouraged and allowed me to take risks that have led me to the success I have made over the last four years.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

These days I am overflowing with inspiration; there are too many prints in my mind and not enough time. The challenge for me is more of how to focus it.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

I think the diversity of my work has been one of my biggest assets. The flexibility of my designs has allowed me to work on such different projects for varying audiences. Continue growing and challenging yourself as an artist, but don’t forget to step away and recharge with all of the things that inspired you in the first place.
