1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I try and combine innovative materials in unique ways to create products for interiors that evoke a sense of calm, beauty, and inspiration. Modern, timeless and relevant.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

Usually I think macro before micro. I begin by tapping into the “feeling” I want to ultimately achieve and then work backwards through design and color to get there.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Jack Lenor Larsen. He was a great mentor. He traveled the world before anyone else discovering amazing artisans. He found ways to work with them to create textiles that could then be mass produced and used in interiors around the world. He gave me the opportunity to follow in his foot steps.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I usually take a ZIG ZAG DAY. This is a kind of walk about where ever I might be at the time --without my cell phone or a need to be anywhere. I wander and explore and allow.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Everything has brought me to this point. Even the bad things or the difficult things. I am grateful for it all. My advice would be to stay open, be flexible, tune in to your own truth and ask for help all along the way.
