1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

An eclectic mish mash of colour, texture, culture and nature. All very carefully placed!

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I start by gathering imagery; animals, nature, cultural, iconic. And then begin to look at artists for inspiration for drawing and painting styles. Next it’s time to get to work with drawing!

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Got to be my brother, Chris Collicott. He has a very different style to me so we make a good team, our differences compliment each other. He’s hardworking and knows what he’s talking about!

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Generally I visit art museums for inspiration. I love Turner so the National Gallery is always a good start, and Hockney is a massive influence in my designs, it’s to my bookcase for that one.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

A serious amount of determination and love for what I do. I think that’s the most important thing for anyone looking to start a business. Believe in what you do and do it for as long as you enjoy it!
