1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

My style is about doing collages of ideas mixing references and styles in an elegant way. I am creating ensembles that bring a narrative to functionality.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I am analysing the question and, from there, I am building some mood board in my mind. Questioning the relevance helps me to design something unique and custom made for the brand I am working for.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I like Philippe Starck for his communication skill and the way he brought our profession to the level it is now as a recognized mission. I appreciate Formafantasma’s poetic and conceptual approach, but there are many others as Morisson, Jongerius, Gamper etc. Basically I appreciate people who stand for something and keep their direction along their career. I think that nowadays design is becoming a question of styling very easily, namely for the young generation. It can be dangerous for them to be followers cause the wind is always changing…

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

First I think about basics and then I bring them to a particular level that can fit with the brand I am working for.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

You need to believe in what you do and think in a long term process. Your projects are like stones to build an edifice and this building should have a signature which is yours! Even if you don’t always please people, sticking to what you think can make the difference even if adapting yourself to situations is important.
