1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

West Coast Eclectic: modern pieces with a smattering of Edwardian and Art Nouveau.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I ask a lot of questions and pay close attention to the answers before I ever put pen to paper (or mouse to CAD). The old adage, “We have two ears and one mouth for a reason” is gold.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

Those who are naturally creative and who think of details that I don’t. Those who are good at their specialty, whether a contractor or a sculptor. I always admire talent and professionalism.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

I study architectural photos and designs. I look at trends and topics from all over the globe. I doodle for fun.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?

Curiosity + constant learning + enjoying my career = 25 years later. For those following, design is about 25% design, 75% math. You need both to succeed.
