1) In your words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
Jeffrey Design LLC, founded in 2008, is a dynamic interior design firm that is highly sought. Our expertise encompasses the design of interior spaces for impeccable lifestyles; we provide quality end results and stunning spaces for luxury residential properties. I have a keen eye for seamless space. I gravitate toward classic, clean, timeless style in the transitional and modern design.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
I am all about lifestyle, how clients live routinely on a daily basis, guiding clients out of their comfort zone to a true self-reality, and a blank space defines itself with traffic flow. Direct/indirect sunlight is one of the guiding factors to create the possibility of amazing designs to a lifestyle applicable to clients. I gravitate toward unused or unique spaces and maximize the area to be part of the design.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
Each project is unique; I truly respect with the individuals I get to work with architects, general contractors, and showroom staff members. These service-oriented people provide such great service. It takes a team to achieve the overall design to maximize my clients' investment and provide an ideal lifestyle for each client.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I am a very visual person such appreciation for furniture, accessories, and art. Travel and inspiration are part of my DNA. I thrived every opportunity to travel domestically and internationally and blessed to seen many countries. I always fascinated with culture, people, fashion, interior design, colors, and architectural elements. As an Inspiration Moderator for Google+ Interior Design Community with over 31,000 worldwide members, I get to inspire the members and vise versa.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
I was fortunate this is a second career in interior design for me after 17 years of telecommunications. With the corporate project management background, I worked for a high-end international interior design firm managed their office and projects in the US for two and half years. Our family was transferred to Nashville, TN in 2007. I decided to start my interior design firm, follow my strong passion for design, and recognize my talent speaks for itself. We moved back to Dallas in 2010 and still maintain my strong inspiration in interior design. My advice is to recognize 80% of the design is strictly business, and 20% is creativity. Be open in learning from the best of the best, share your dreams with peers, participate in network events, and attend trade shows, and conferences.
