1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

I am all about Fusion design, being born and brought up in Norway, but with Indian origin I love mixing the simplicity of Scandinavia with colours of India.

2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?

I flick through books and magazines for inspiration and then create mood boards, putting together wallpaper, fabric, flooring and colour swatches along with furniture and accessory cut-outs.

3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I have not worked with her in person (apart from using her products), but I respect and admire Tricia Guild from Designer’s Guild whom I had the pleasure of meeting quite recently. I just love the way she uses different colours, patterns etc. and makes it work.

4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?

Someone told me inspiration is everywhere, you just need to keep your eyes open. I sit along the canal with a cup of tea and my smartphone and create different idea books on Houzz.

5) What has brought you to this point in your career?

And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps? Interiors and creating beautiful homes has always been my passion, and everyone deserves a home that’s not only beautiful, but is practical and reflects their personality. My advice is whatever you choose to do, give it your 100%. There is no right or wrong, stick to your beliefs.
