60 minute makeover 9: ooh la, la – très chic!

This makeover began in the main bedroom where the team were inspired French provincial shabby chic and the love of lavender to create a luxury bedroom which was light and airy. The pretty feature wall, with sprigs of lavender against a cream background looking stunning.

The windows were dressed with a stylish Roman blind made from patchwork mauve fabric to maximise the natural light and coordinate with the lilac/mauve accent colours. The team moved on to the 'dump it room' transforming it into a guest room which could also be used as an art studio. Pale colours in muted tones of cream, power blue with a hint of gold transformed this dumping ground into a very usable guest room.

The window was dressed with a Roman blind made from Silky Spa fabric with a gentle sheen, helping to bounce light around the room. Before the team arrived the lounge-diner was filled with inherited pieces and furniture which outdated and oversized.

Now, it's warm and inviting with the small bay window in the lounge area fitted with Roman blinds and the dining room end had full length curtains hung by eyelet curtain rings on a bay window curtain pole to coordinate with the modern dining table and chairs. The neutral earthy tones were highlighted with light green cushions and throws. This bright modern and liveable space has been created using clever colour combinations and a subtle floral theme to encompass the owners love of flowers.
